Kaelyn's crazy hair
I read somewhere that newborns sleep 20-22 hours a day~ apparently Kaelyn did not get the memo! Our precious little one has very unpredictable sleep patterns...3 nights ago she she slept for 4 1/2 hours straight! 2 nights ago she got up 2 times during the night. Last night she thought it was a good idea to get up at 2:00 and just stay up until 6. You would think a night like this would tucker the little one out? Not so much....she finally went down for a nap today at 4:00. Thank goodness for blackberries with Internet access as I spend the majority of my night shift on facebook and perez hilton.
Yesterday, we stopped by the doctor for a skin irritation that Kaelyn had. While we were there Dr. Dorothy gave her the once over which included a weigh in... our little chunker has been packing on the pounds and is gaining weight like a champ- she is already over 9 lbs! Alghough she was measured I can tell you that she has definately grown! Quite a few of her outfits don't fit anymore! Her hair has also continued to grow and maintained its crazy spike. Today it reminds me a bit of Kate Gosselin...spikey in the back and flat in the front. It is also definately lightening up...I think we are going to have a little blondie.

Kaelyn some day will figure out this thing called sleep. Right now she just likes being in your arms and eating. This too shall pass.....
