One Chill Baby

At 12 today Cindy had a non-stress test at Grand View Hospital. It was pretty uneventful. We went in got hooked up to some probes and then sat and watched the monitors for about 45 minutes. Two transducers were attached by a belt to the outside of Cindy's giant belly. One monitors the baby's heart rate (FHR) and the other monitors uterine contractions (UC). It's kind of fun to watch the monitor and see how our baby's heart rate goes up as she moves around... we also get a kick out of watching the contractions (although this will probably not be as much fun in the middle of full blown labor!). Once we were hooked up for a while and the doctor took a look at the strip we were told everything looked good and were sent home...baby is not stressed. Below is a sample of the tape that prints out of the monitoring machine...it's not the tape from today just a random one from the Internet.
