Well, after our appointment last night with Dr. Adibi and his prediction that baby would be here soon we were on heightened alert! Around 10:30 Cindy noticed that she was experiencing some of the symptoms that fell under the "call your doctor right away" category. So after calling the doctors office and speaking with a nurse she was advised to drive over to Grandview Hospital and check in. Cindy hung up the phone and called Jeff to tell him to meet her there and then set up some work for her sub. Cindy had barely gotten on the road to the hospital when an anxious Jeff called from the hospial parking lot asking where she was (he got there VERY quickly even for Jeff's driving standards)!
At the hospital we got hooked up to a monitor to watch the baby's heart beat and contractions and had an exam. After a couple hours of being hooked up they determined everything was normal and there was no need to worry. Cindy's contractions were kind of all over the place- 8 minutes apart and then 3 etc. and they were of varying strength so the doctor gave us some options...Stay hooked up to the monitor for a couple hours and see if labor becomes full blown or go home, relax, eat, enjoy the nice day and come back if anything changes. So we choose option B. We'll keep you updated....nothing to report as of yet!
